Job applications

When you apply for a role we collect the details you give us — name, email, phone (optional), salary expectations, your cover letter, and the CV and any files you attach.

• Why. To assess your application and contact you about it.
• Legal basis. Taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in running an ongoing recruitment process.
• How long. We recruit on a rolling basis, so we keep your application while we may still consider you for an open or upcoming role. We review what we hold periodically and remove applications we're no longer considering. You can ask us to delete yours at any time — see your rights below.

Contact enquiries

When you use the contact form or email us, we keep your name, email, message, and any attachments — used solely to respond to you and to follow up on the enquiry. We keep it for as long as needed to deal with the matter.

Advertising measurement

We run ads on Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and Google, and we need to know which ad brought someone here. Two things follow from that.

• Campaign labels. When you arrive from an ad, the campaign parameters on the link are kept in your browser for the rest of that tab's session, so a message you send us can be attributed to the ad you clicked. They contain no identifier and are gone when you close the tab.
• Meta and Google tags. Only if you accept cookies. The Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag then measure conversions and let us show ads to people like you. If you submit the contact form, we also send Meta a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) copy of your email and phone so it can match the enquiry to the ad click — never the plain values, and never your message.
• Legal basis. Your consent, given through the cookie banner. Decline and neither tag loads, and nothing goes to Meta or Google. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We use a small set of processors to run the site and handle submissions: Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Notion (storing applications), and PostHog (privacy-aware analytics). They process data on our instructions only.

With your consent, we also share advertising measurement data with Meta Platforms Ireland and Google Ireland, as described above. Unlike the processors, those two use the data for their own purposes as well — which is why they need your consent rather than our legitimate interest.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive a copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. To do any of this, email jacek@fullstack.house. If you're in the EU/EEA you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
